For a while I’d wanted to go up to the Gold Camp Road area and shoot in the tunnels. Some being open to traffic and others not being open it would take some exploring to figure out. On a previous trip up there the fog had set in and it made for a very ominous feel. I wanted to make my way up there for a session after heading up there the first time.
Miss Tori graciously agreed to come meet me at a roadside area on Gold Camp Road. The location I picked overlooked Colorado Springs and provided a beautiful mountain setting. As we met and went out we quickly felt a taste of the cold and how it was going to be on top of the mountain. I knew that shots with lingerie or less were going to need to be quick for this Gold Camp Road boudoir photography.
Tori had done several modeling shoots before and with working with her she pulled out some great poses. She had different poses as we went and we would collaborate together to get the best shots possible. We started with hiking up the closest mountain we could find, that wasn’t too much work of course. We began with some standard shots with her fully dressed just so we got comfortable shooting together. This is a standard practice for most of our sessions to get comfortable working together.
From there we worked our way around the top of the mountain finding different locations and changing out wardrobe sets. We happened upon a spot by a rock that also had a twig shelter assembled. This spot provided some of the best shots from the session and we stayed here for a while. While here we were grabbing different shots and changing out wardrobe for some great shots.
We went down the mountain and went to go look for a tunnel. Wandering around a bit we found another good spot that had been covered with snow. We worked in that area for a little bit and played with using a light prism for some artistic shots. Nearing the end of our time together we set back to the vehicles and found our way to a collapsed tunnel where we finished up the session.
Gold camp road is a beautiful location set up in the mountains near Colorado Springs and we loved shooting there and think it has a number of beautiful locations to shoot at that are private and fitting for a beautiful outdoor boudoir photography session.
