Coming back to Sacramento for our second contract we knew we wanted to get a session in with Heather Monique. We caught her Instagram posts since the first time in Sacramento but we didn’t shoot much the first time there. As we finished up our contract in Boston we began sending out messages to find connections. Heather and I had conversation a little to discuss details and we chose a date to shoot together about a month into being in Sacramento.

We’d shot at Miner’s Ravine once before with Miss Tabitha for a Secret Ravine boudoir photography session for a sunset shoot so we knew the area a little. Our shoot with Heather was midday and the lighting was a little different that time of day. To start off the session we met at the parking lot of the United Artists and went through introductions. Her husband had come with her and was going to do some behind the scenes shots while we shot together. After introductions we made our way in to a post by the creek. Our initial idea was to have Heather Monique in a bathing suit in the creek and she got right in.

In this initial spot we worked with different poses, locations and angles before doing a wardrobe change and moving up the creek a little. Heather changed into a blue lingerie set with a blue gown that flowed well together. We would wrap up our Miner’s Ravine boudoir photography in this spot with different variations of poses and stages of dress with the lingerie.
