Miss Sarah initially got in touch with us she was looking to do a boudoir session outdoors. She’s an outdoors kind of girl and was up for a hike for this beautiful Neudahn Castle boudoir photography session. She also had interest in an indoor session but covid restrictions made shooting indoors at the time impossible. We set off to Neudahn Castle and had to explore together to find our way to the top. The castle is at the top of a long trail and wasn’t too bad but was definitely more than expected. It was definitely a challenge to get to the top and not look tired and worn out from the hike.

To kick things off I had her start with a dress she brought at the exterior of the castle. This castle is beautiful and is fun to explore with multiple tiers and a great view from the top. We worked in some boudoir elements with her dress before switching outfits and moving to the next location. It was fun to explore the castle and find little nooks and crannies to work with for this Neudahn Castle boudoir photography session. It wasn’t too busy but like most castles in the area there are a few roamers that we had to avoid and wait for. With public spaces like this I do my best to put you in a private spot or in a spot where if someone did come we’d have time to cover you up.

From here we did another wardrobe change and went to the top of the castle. There were some beautiful stairs up and a window that was once part of a great castle wall. She was brave enough to go over obstacles to get some more fun shots in a crevice of the castle before we began to go down. Before leaving there was another structure we stopped in for a few more photos. This time of year and this castle are beautiful because of how much is preserved and the overgrowth that is all but taking the castle over.
