Getting started with chatting with Mrs. Anna we knew it was going to be a fun challenge. She is Polish and didn’t speak very much English, and we’re English with very limited German. For messaging it was okay and we got through it using translator to figure out date and location. Our aim for the location was to shoot somewhere in the middle and that was unique to the area. Burg Grimburg is a beautiful castle and really well preserved. If you’re in the area I definitely recommend going to check it out!

Meeting with Mrs. Anna the challenge set in. We both did our best to communicate what we could to one another with pleasantries. I quickly figured out I was going to play gestures and show her what I had in mind for shots. I do this normally through sessions and will show a pose I’m thinking of so it’s easier for the client to see the vision. It was kind of fun to figure out new ways to communicate non verbally and to pose Mrs. Anna as we went through this Burg Grimburg boudoir photography session.

CASTLE BOUDOIR PHOTOS

As we do with all outdoor sessions mixing fashion and boudoir we began more conservative. As we went through the castle we changed outfits and got more risqué. There were also a lot of visitors at the castle so we went around to different locations keeping and eye out for others. Mrs. Anna was great to work with and caught on to our form of communication quickly. We were able to work together well and get great shots together despite the language barrier.
