Working with Mrs. Sara for this North Cheyenne Cañon Park boudoir photography session was bitter sweet. Located in Colorado Springs, its views from the top are tremendous but the climb to the top is very steep. It’s not a short hike and is filled with loose rock all the way up making it hard to traverse! When I told Mrs. Sara about the spot I gave warning it wouldn’t be an easy climb but the views are worth it. Mrs. Sara brought along two girlfriends and I don’t think they knew what they were getting themselves into. We met at the base of the mountain and made our introductions before starting up the mountain. We powered through and went straight to the top, with several stops along the way to catch our breath.

Once at the top the views were beautiful and we began our North Cheyenne Cañon Park boudoir photography session. Mrs. Sara had brought along a beautiful fur blanket which we used in numerous different shots. She also brought several wardrobe options and even a white sheet to hold on to while the wind blew. It was quite windy at the top and the sheet worked beautifully in the wind.

We went to various locations at the top of the mountain to grab different scenery. Having her friends along for moral support was great as they pushed her to have fun with the session. Her friends ultimately decided that they wanted to do sessions as well after watching our session together. We welcome bringing your girlfriends along who want to support and check it out before signing up themselves to do a session.

Finding the right location to shoot at can sometimes be the difference between good shots and great shots – we can of course make great shots anywhere but having that picturesque background can help set your photos apart even more.
