After being here in Germany for a couple years we saw a new name pop up in the Facebook groups. Rachel had just pcsed from Japan with her husband is also a talented photographer. She’s got great work and you can check out her website at https://racheldphotos.com/. If you’re in the same area as her and have the opportunity to work with her she’s awesome and we’d highly recommend shooting with her. You never really know what you’re going to get working with a fellow photographer but right out the gate conversation was easy and we were both flexible for what to do for a session together. She mentioned she had been wanting to check out a cool spot and sent over Die Wassergarten. I’d shot here a couple times for family sessions and another fashion shoot but I was totally on board. Every time I shot here it was too busy or I couldn’t justify putting someone in the water.

Rachel was all about it and so we met there for this Die Wassergarten boudoir photography session. The weather is always hard to predict in Germany and I was nervous it would be cold. When we showed up the weather was cooperating and it was nice weather which worked great for her getting in the water. Wanting to do the water shots last we went up above the waterfall section to the abandoned industrial part of the park. There’s an awesome little spot with a long walkway and arches we began the session at. To kick things off we had her start with a black lingerie piece with jean shorts and a jacket over.

We got things rolling here and then moved over to a fenced off staircase with rusted equipment. Very carefully we made our way up this section to get to the staircase (not a super easy climb). Once we got up there we did a few shots with the jacket and shorts before going just to the lingerie. After that we continued to grab shots around the rusted machinery and climbed down a level. Here pulled down the top of the lingerie piece to pose topless before going around the outside part of the machinery. Happy with those shots we went back to the long hall and switched to just the jean jacket and shorts. We grabbed shots as she gradually undressed until she was posing in the nude with jean jacket covering.

She’s gotten herself into fitness competitions and fitness now is pretty big in her life. So we changed outfits to a workout getup and got some fitness shots for her use. Fitness isn’t our strongest style so we winged it with her to get some fun industrial fitness shots. For the next portion of this Die Wassergarten boudoir photography session we had her change into a blue swimsuit. It was at this time that we went down to the main section of the park where they have a walkway surrounded by waterfalls. With the swimsuit on and a little bravery Rachel jumped into the water and got next to the waterfalls. After a few initial shots I had her get in the waterfalls for some fun shots. In each waterfall we would do some standard bikini type shots and then mix in boudoir with her pulling up the top.

We were getting really great shots together for this Die Wassergarten boudoir photography session. It was really hard to put a cap on it with all the great shots we were capturing. I’d say okay we were finished and then walk 2 minutes and see something else. The first stop was the big waterfall on the outside portion. There’s a little water canal in front of it and then tall grass/reeds next to that. The tall reeds gave just enough privacy for her to continue to mix in boudoir portions. Happy with those shots we began to walk back to the car and we almost made it. As we were walking my eye caught the sun setting on the water with the industrial park. I had to stop for a few more shots with her in the water.

To wrap up this Die Wassergarten boudoir photography session she went out in the water. I shot a few pictures, slipped in the water a little and called it a day. Overall we were both really happy with the outcome and had a great time working together. If you have the chance to work with Miss Rachel in front of or behind the camera go for it.
