After returning from Europe we jumped right into the swing of things with sessions. We were going to Sacramento next for a contract and were trying to get in as many sessions as we could while home before leaving. We’d reached out to Miss Jessica at the beginning of the month and had arranged for everything before we left for Europe. We’d been wanting to an outdoor boudoir photography session up in Denver and Miss Jessica was the first to volunteer.

We had several locations we had been discussing but we ultimately chose to shoot at Genesee Park outside of Denver, Colorado. Once we met at Genesee Park we jumped right into shooting. We walked down the path and noticed how beautifully the light was coming in and lighting up the grass. For the first stop I had her start with a cardigan and then come off the trail a little bit. She sat and laid in the grass and the lighting was just beautiful! Once we got some good shots in at this spot we went further down the trail.

The next spot we came to that caught our eye was the side of a hill with tall grass all over it. We stopped here and set up camp for the next set of images. We did some with the light pouring in over the grass as a backdrop and then rotated in the same area and continued with some shots in the grass. Satisfied with the shots we got here we continued up the side of the hill to the top.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER

Once we reached the top, it provided a beautiful backdrop for this mountain boudoir photography session. The sun was setting and from this vantage point we could see miles behind of forest and mountains. We had quite a bit of time at this spot before the sun and set and we considered turning back to the car but I saw a spot just down the hill in front of us that caught my eye.

To wrap up the session we walked down the hill and did a few wardrobe changes. Even after the sun had set the lighting was still great to work with at the right angle. We hiked a pretty good portion and found some great spots to shoot and we were all really happy with the shots we’d gotten so we turned to head back to the cars. Miss Jessica was great to work with, super fun, open to try ideas and concepts and easy going – happy to work with her again any time!

Colorado is home to so many beautiful mountain ranges and we love being outdoors. We’d love to go explore a mountain with you and set up a mountain boudoir photography session together.
