Rachel and I had been discussing rebooting SteamFox Photography after we shut it down for several months. After agreeing to work through it together and try it out, Miss Caroline was our first session after the restart. Rachel had done a session with her friend Miss Heidi and this was my first session after the reboot. Miss Caroline had reached out to us after we did a little advertising and tentatively moved forward with us. After some discussions she opted to shoot at our cottage in Gloucester that we were staying at. Her boyfriend came along and we always welcome having someone come with you.
It’s always fun getting to know people and personalities whenever we meet for a session. There’s always the initial conversation that typically makes sure we’re both sane and normal people. We both check that we are who we say we are and that this can be an enjoyable experience. We began our Gloucester boudoir photography session outside our cottage. It had a beautiful back yard area, that we came back to later, and it gave a beautiful setting. Our cottage had a sunroom that we worked in to start because it provided the best light and setting. Once we had captured some good shots we moved to an open window to work with that. Initially I had her stay inside with the window but eventually had her sit in the window and work with it to get some great shots.
Once we’d shot with the sunroom enough we moved to the main living area of our cottage. Here we got some more shots with the windows that were near the bed and shot inside with the light coming in. From there we also shot from outside to get some fun effects through the window. We wrapped up the Gloucester boudoir photography session by heading back outside. We got some shots in some of the shorter foliage that caught the light beautifully.
Boston and the surrounding area was beautiful and we love getting to know and work with people in the New England area.
