I’d done a number of sessions at the Bear Creek Nature Center, in fact my very first boudoir session in the snow with Miss Mikayla was at this location. It’s amazing how different a location can look from season to season and we love the diversity. Any location can have diversity with a change of perspective, subject and season. Just because we’ve shot at a certain location once before doesn’t mean we’ll get the same exact shots. If you want we can replicate shots from a session but we do our best to make each session unique.
When we arrived with Miss Azure she had brought along a girlfriend who also dabbled in photography. We made introductions and set out to find some locations to work at. I knew I wanted to shoot again at the little bundle of branches where I finished my session with Miss Mikayla. We went straight to that spot to start this Bear Creek Nature Center boudoir photography session. It served as a great starting point and we explored around the immediate vicinity for more little spots to shoot.
We didn’t venture more than 15 yards from our starting point to get all these photos done. Her friend was a great help with suggesting shots, encouraging Miss Azure, and just being an all around great support. We had her finish the session in the water as it was still cold out and the water was freezing. We were happy with how all the shots came out with Miss Azure and would love to shoot with her again.
This is such a beautiful location in Colorado Springs and is very versatile. It’s got a variety of terrain and different looks you can get in a singular location.
